GMAS145PK-4A BCRF

Today, I'm going to review the brand new limited edition BCRF GMAS145PK-4A.

As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and many companies support this cause with specialty products and events.  This year G-Shock produced this very cool, and very pink, BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Foundation) watch to honor those women who are living with, survived, and sadly lost their lives to this disease.  G-Shock has donated $25,000 to BCRF, and looks forward to continuing their partnership and finding a cure!  We support this cause by working with our local branch of Real Men Wear Pink, and help raise money whenever possible.

This watch uses the analog and digital 5613 which has a countdown timer, world time, alarm, analog time, day and date features.  The case and strap are made out of the extremely durable plastic that G-Shock is known for, along with a steel caseback.  It uses a lithium battery for long life, and is water resistant to 20Bar.

The watch itself really is beautiful and they did a great job matching the dial, hands, case, and strap whicle still allowing for reasonable visibility and legibility.  The digital is a bit hard to read, but you're probably not buying this watch to be used while hunting.  It's a great looking watch, but the digital features will be a bit difficult to utilize.

It sits at 45mm, which sounds large, but it's actually the smaller size for this collection and is designed for a smaller wrist, which makes sense considering the collaboration.  Using the buttons is very easy, and G-Shock designed it that way.  The rectangle(ish) pushers fit my fingers well, and are easy to manipulate.  Changing the setting for daylight savings time is very easy, and so is the start/stop feature for the timer.  The alarm is reasonably loud, so if you're not the heaviest sleeper it should wake you up.

Overall, I love the look of this watch, and if you like a splash of color then you will love this watch!  If you're looking for function over form, then you will probably want to go with a different color combination so the digital screens are easier to read.  It's priced well at $110, and we have 2 left in stock if you want to add it to your collection, or gift it to someone special!
