The Oris Lou Gehrig Limited Edition celebrates the life and character of baseball legend Lou Gehrig. It’s based on the Big Crown Pointer Date and limited to 2,130 pieces, honoring the number of games Lou played consecutively for the New York Yankees. The watch’s special details include the blue 4 on the date ring remembering Lou’s uniform number (the first retired in baseball), the vertically brushed silver dial recalling his “Iron Horse” nickname, and the case back engraving of his likeness. Lou’s life was cut tragically short by ALS, a neurodegenerative disease often known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Oris is proud to support the work of The Lou and Eleanor Gehrig Family Foundation, which raises awareness of ALS and funds for research.
